Leadership Program

2026 Expressions of Interest have now closed

Program Aims

  • To develop the leadership capability of people with disability in the Australian water industry.
  • To link people with disability who are interested in leadership, and encourage networking and peer support.
  • To support people to clarify their leadership and career goals and identify the skills and competencies they will need to achieve those goals and increase their impact.

Program Overview

This program is designed for people with disability in the Australian water industry to help build their leadership capability, and support their personal and career growth.

Key information:

  • Commences in August 2026
  • Includes five two-hour online sessions
  • Places are limited to 10
  • Only employees of WaterAble partner organisations are eligible
  • Program fee of $150 per participant
  • Supervisor approval is required.

  • Leadership identity shaped by lived experience, strengths and values
  • Communication with confidence, clarity and adaptability
  • Advocating for yourself and others with clarity and purpose
  • Recognising ableism and leading inclusive change
  • Turning leadership identity into action and impact.
